Advice needed -dwindling flock

OK- it's 3 pm and here's the update. After a few hours, they seemed to have settled in. No serious damage, and everyone is behaving. My original girl, Ginger, is co-existing with the roo and the 2 new girls. Thanks for all of your advice. I knew that if we had more chickens, the process would have been different, but I only had the one left, and she's doing fine.

Thanks also about the roo. We did have a light on outside the back door last night, so maybe that was it. I'll shut it off tonight and see if he stays quiet.

I'll keep you posted over the next few days and post a picture.

:)

Whenever I get a new hen I observe them and then keep throwing scraps all over the pen so they are semi distracted. I do it pretty much all day..lol There is always going to be some pecking no matter what you do.

Just an update. They're all living in harmony. Ginger, the girl I had first, has taken on the skittish personalities of the new friends. I let them out to free range today, and Ginger gave them all a tour of the yard. They went back happily into the coop at sunset. Feeling good that they've worked out.

Separate the new chickens for awhile and then let them together. Other than that, everything sounds great.
