Advice Needed....My hen has a sore on her head

My young RIR has a scabby sore on her head and it is oozing this morning. What should I use to clean it and what ointment can I apply? She is otherwise acting normal. Not sure if the rooster got her with his spur, or what happened. Should I put her on some sort of antibiotic too?

clean it with peroxideon a cottonball first, then clean it with alcohol on a cottonball. then put some neosporin on it. works like a charm!

Yes, what gameboygal said, don't use a systemic antibiotic unless you are treating a systemic condition. I would also keep an eye on the flock and make sure no one is attracted to (pecking) her sore head.
