I got a little giant still air incubator for christmas! Do any of you have experiences using it. My question is how do you manage humidity levels accurately. I have heard of people putting sponges in it can you use that? any advice is appreciated i want to have the best hatch possible!

Also, how bad do the temps in this specific incubator fluctuate. I have heard of temps fluctuating really bad in other incubators and that is what ruined peoples hatches

I do use sponges in mine and also small containers of water(high enough that baby chicks can't drown).
I really haven't had many problems with the temp once I get it regulated.

ok thanks. what size of sponge do you use. i have heard of people cutting them into cubes and putting them in there. do you think the thermometer that comes with the incubator look better

I use sponges also..
Just the cheap regular sized sponges...

I actually have a hygrometer/thermometer combo that I got at a cigar store.
I just wasn't too confident in the thermometer that came with the incubator.
