Advice on building a coop for a temporary home

Hi guys,

We are going to move soon, and naturally we plan to take our chickens with us. So of course we'll need a coop for them. The thing is, our next house will probably be short-term, as in a year or less and then we'll move again. This means, obviously, that we don't want to invest a lot of money and/or work in a coop that will only serve us a few short months. So we need to either:

- Build something super cheap and super easy to construct, so we won't be sorry for leaving it behind;

OR

- Build something we can later take with us to our next house, like something that can be easily taken apart and re-constructed (personally I prefer this option).

Any thoughts/ideas/advice will be appreciated!

PS: We have a small backyard flock of about a dozen birds.

How about a tractor coop of some sorts? Or another idea would be to build a coop that's raised from the ground, built so that you can easily get a trailer under it. If the spot you put it on is car-accessible, then this could be a good idea. Build it so that you can just back a trailer under and cut the legs, that way you'll only need to build new legs for it when you move.

*Edit* Or then you could put wheels on the base and use a car trailer when it's time to move.

Thanks for the suggestion! I also like the coop in your photo album. I kind of wouldn't mind living in it, LOL (in a larger variation of course).
