i need some advice on how to make the roof look finished. My hubby and I did not build a frame for the roof and as a result the top portion looks messy, I would like to make it look neater. I don't know how to fix it. The roof is metal I'll attach some pics. I put fence boards up to cover it but it still needs a bit more.... Thanks for any suggestions

I would have to agree and say I think its looks great.
What or where exactly does it bug you? How long ago did you add the boards? I know with projects around here sometimes I have to come back and look after I attempted a fix after my inital frustration goes away and it does alot.

It might be easier to understand if I post a pic before the boards were put on

In this pic you may be able to see the roofline better which I feel looks pretty bad, so we took fence boards and attached them to deflect the rough look in the middle there is still a dip in the frame that extends beyond the fence board... Maybe I'm being to ocd... Lol!

Your final results are great- you should be pleased IMO!!

Please tell your DH thank you for his service! And thank you for being his support!

I can see what your talking about...huge difference in before and after picture. Honestly I think your fix has done wonders. I cant see the dip that you are refering to in the aftet photo but if its bugs you maybe hide it with hanging baskets or paint something that would draw your eyes away from the spot you dont like?. Again i think it looks great.

Maybe, but it's difficult to build on a slope. My coop and run are also on a slope, so I know what your husband has had to deal with. Between the two of you, the results look good. Be happy, and make him happy too.

As long as it's structurally sound, I wouldn't worry about it. It looks fine. I am sure the chickens don't care...lol
