Secure metal door

Hello,

I am new to backyard chickens. I bought this run off of Amazon. We are covering it with hard cloth all around, including over the roof. I am using metal zip ties. I will add a perimeter skirt to the bottom and use lawn staples to secure that into the ground. I'll also add a perimeter of cinderblocks (with herbs and treats) on top of the perimeter skirt. Half the run will be covered with a shade tent. BUT, what do I do to secure this door?

I would love some advice and photos of how you have secured it. We obviously need a different lock but I'm trying to figure out how to overlap the hard cloth but allow the door to open.

What herbs will you be growing? are they legal in your state??

Now to real answers.
Attach your Hardware cloth on the walls up to the edge where your gate is. Cut, a piece of Hardware cloth to fit the gate, and attach.
The narrow gap between the gate, and frame pole is just fine.
