I have a broody showgirl who finally learned how to actually sit on the eggs. In the meantime I put the eggs she was not keeping warm in the incubator. Well, they hatched. I tried to go out there during the day and give them to her in a new inclosure, but she was more interested in the new digs. I took the babies back, because they literally just hatched 6 hours ago. I went back out there tonight and moved her from her old nesting box with her eggs into the new inclosure. She stayed on the eggs for a few minutes then got up to eat and drink. I turned out the lights and left.

Should I try to bring the babies out to her tonight. or should I wait another day to see if she keeps to her nest? Should I take her eggs when I put the new babies in with her, or leave them there?

Thanks

i have put them under the hen at night, and in a day or two remove her eggs if she doesnt seem to be getting up and feeding them.

How many eggs is she still sitting on?
Place the babies in with her at night and remove some of the eggs????
