Please find attached 2 images of a bird I have.
His neck feathers have still not grown back through yet and this morning when I went in and picked him up to look I got blood on my hands and on closer inspection (Circled blue on first image) I noticed it was coming from his shoots.
Could there be something wrong, but there is another 5 birds in the same shed in different sections with no problem at all as well as the fact that the hen he is with has no loss of feathers.
Could it simply be a moult and the hen bird keeps picking at the shoots before the feathers get time to come back through? As you can see in the second picture she is looking at his neck.
Would the best thing to do be to separate them and see if he pulls himself together? Plus the fact that the feathers on the side of his neck look all scraggy and what not as well.
Please advise.
