Advice on sexing 12 day old chicks

I am looking to expand my flock, I would like to avoid getting roos. Is there a way for a newbie to tell which are pullets and which are roos?? I am unsure at this point which type I want so looking for a general rule here

You can feather sex day old chicks, but only for chicks with the fast feathering gene. There's always vent sexing, but even so not always 100% and never want a newbie to do it without a very experienced person helping.
Sorry but your just gonna have to wait, there's no real 'general rule' for sexing day old (or older really) chicks. Otherwise everyone would.
