So I’m going to be shipping 6 duck eggs tomorrow and I was wondering if I could wrap the I’m bubble wrap them put them in a tupper wear container then in a box of shredded paper? Or do the eggs pores need to breath? Or how do y’all suggest doing it? I also got a suggestion of carving out a bigger while in a pool noodle and putting the eggs in their..
Thought? Thx, Alli

I like to individually bubble wrap hatching eggs, leaving small openings at the top and bottom for air flow. The wrapped eggs then go into as much shredded paper as I can stuff around them, and they sit on a cushion of padded bubble mailer on the bottom of the (new, undamaged) box. The top of the eggs are also padded by air pillows and bubble wrap to prevent movement within the box. I've never received a report of broken eggs, so it seems to work. 🙂

Best of luck! May USPS be gentler with your eggs than it's been to the eggs I've received lately.

Okay. Thank you!! Would a tupper wear container be too tight, like do the eggs need to breath a little? Because if I could use a tupper wear container as a smaller box inside the shipping box I’d feel a little more confident that the box won’t open into the big box. If that makes sense

How far are you shipping them? Does the Ely PO still have to send everything to St. Paul or do they send it to Duluth? Problem with shipping from rural areas are all the stops your package makes along the way. I would err on the side of caution and pad them as well as possible.

So it still goes to St.Paul. @MissE Are you located up here too?
This is what the pool noodle would do: (I drop tested it a few times and it did not break)
I am going to dour box now bc the Tupperware is too small

I'm not too far from the airport.

Pool noodle looks like a good solution.

Temps are supposed to be a little better, so you should have to worry about them sitting in a 20 degree truck overnight.
