Advice on soap making gift

My wife came home from store with everything she thinks she needs make soap. As she never done this before she doesn't know. I looked and there were oil bottles, big thing looked like wax , mold and some letter molds.

Her birthday is coming up I would like to get her something to do with soap making. I've seen some neat soaps and thought I'd ask y'all.
What does a new soap maker need or would make it easier?

When I search I go out to my search engine of choice and type "backyardchickens _______" depending on what I am searching for...I have found it to be more useful than BYC's search engine.

I've started making some with some of my free time! The basics are reallyyyyy easy. I'd recommend going to hobby lobby and getting their starter kit just for the instructions and it tells you how to make different kinds of soaps. Good luck!

A stick (immersion) blender saves so much time! They're around ten bucks in the kitchen section. You could get her some scents or colors that she might like. Or for a personal touch, design her a label for her soaps and put it on fancy paper or stickers. Maybe you can find her some charities that can use homemade soap. She'll likely be so excited about her new hobby that she makes a LOT, and she'll want to share.
