So I started with 15 call duck eggs and 1 pekin under a broody hen. She clearly felt that was way too many (not intentional-- eBay seller sent me 6 extras!) and moved half to a new nest in her brood box. I popped the 8 "rejects" into an incubator. I am at day 6...candled...2 with good vessels in the incubator, 3 under the hen. Should I put the good eggs under the hen? Or just leave well enough alone? This is her first time so I have no idea how good a mom she will be...this is also my first time incubating so I have no idea how good I will be either . Help! Thank you.

It is definitely your decision.

I always use the natural animal. I bought an incubator but after all that I read about what can go wrong I decided I didn't want to worry and continue to use my broodies to hatch.

Of course there's worry and stress to using a broody too, they can switch nest, break eggs or generally give up, or worse attack what they hatch. There's no right answer unfortunately. I always say follow your gut and accept the consequences, plus always have a back up plan.
