When I got my two little ducklings from a "not good duck owner" they were terrified of people and these ducks were only about 1 week and 3 weeks old. I went out there about 3 times a day and sat in there cage with them with a treat in my hand. Ducks can be very curious and finaly one day the little one came up and ate a blueberry out of my hand. After that day as soon as I come out to the cage they run to the edge. It took some time for them to feel comfortable with me in there area but now they are.
Take it one day at a time. Go and sit and talk with them as much as you can. Let them come to you because they are curious expecialy if you are sitting down so you look smaller and have something colorful in your hand.
Oh forgot to add, mine HATE to be handled, but they will litterealy run my your leg when you are sitting on the ground and be just fine close to you. They just hate to be picked up.
That is my expience with ducks so far, I have only had mine for about three weeks now. Hope some of that helped.
*make sure they always have water like others have said.
