Under Your bed
Alright I'm in a bad situation. I added a bunch of eggs to my incubator, wrote

Everything down on paper, the time and date I put them in, etc. And now, the

paper magicaly disapeared and I have no idea what day it is for my eggs.

I candled today and they are atleast half way through. The egg is totally

dark, I see veins and movement at the little space there is left, very nice

looking air sacs, and tons of movement. SO ... Should I lock down now,

or turn until I hear a peep? I'm turning three times per day now, should I

just stop turning them as OFTEN? Any suggestions would be great. Can't

belive I lost the darn paper ...

Hi,
did you post on the forum when you set your eggs?
Maybe you can go back in your post and figure out the day you set...possibly?

I don't think it would hurt the eggs to stop turning a day or so early.

That's why I have a piece of Duct Tape on my incubator with written Start Date_________, Stop Turning________, Hatch Due________.

Course, this doesn't help you now, so just W.A.G, keep water in trays and stop turning when you hear/see a pip.

No I did not post here when I added the eggs, sadly.

I'm just afraid they may be 5-6 days before lockdown,
so if I stop turning now, I may cause damage .

Now, why can't I think of using duct tape?

Thanks, I will, and next time I am using tape.

Most likely multiple pieces.

Thankyou Carolyn.

I'm using a little giant 'bator (Hopfully getting a differnt one soon...)

I've got the outer two troughs filled, and the air sacs look perfect.

I'll add more water in a couple days, and see what happens.
