I'm starting this thread for anyone and everyone to share any advice or tips they've learned along the way when it comes to showing poultry. As a first time chicken owner whose only had chickens going on a year now I decided to show a few of my more promising birds at the State Fair. I know next to nothing about showing chickens so any and all advice, tips, comments, the do's and don'ts, etc. are welcome here.
I'm showing a mille fleur bantam rooster, double laced blue barnevelder pullet, salmon faverolle pullet, and a salmon faverolle cockerel. I've been having a hard time finding the breed standards for the above chicken breeds. Any good advice on where to go to find these? Thanks,
