Hi everyone.
Is it normal for the hen to be off her eggs for a long period of time each day?
This is my first time with fertilsed eggs, so i don't really no what to expect from the mother hen or eggs. Should the eggs be warm all the time? I have pekin bantums.
All advice and tips welcolme.

The hen must/should leave the nest daily to eat, drink, defecate, and frequently dust bathe. They've been doing this since the first chicken evolved she knows what she is supposed to do. In my experience they tend to spend less time off the eggs as the incubation progresses. Good luck for a successful hatch.
