Advice!

My chicks are eating layer crumbles because my older chickens are eating their feed. For some reason, My big chickens like the little chicks feed better. So when the chicks try to eat their feed my big chickens attack them. I know my 8 week old chicks can't have layer feed, but what can I do? I can't separate them because if I do, The chicks fly out of the pen in the yard and a predator will get them.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Feed all of them flock raiser or an all flock ration and have oyster shell on the side for the layers. I don't feed layer to any of my birds.
