Afew duck questions

I'm really wanting a pair of ducks, possible to live with/ along side my chickens

I have afew questions..

-What type/breed of duck is best for a built up area, IE ones that are less noisy

-Can u clip their wings like you can chickens to stop them flying?

-Do they need access to a pond, or can u just provide them with a tube of water and baths in the bath?

-What type of living conditions do they need

and whats theres food needs etc

any other info would be fab

All female ducks are noisy with the exception of Muscovies. What do you mean a built up area? As in wire?

Yes

A kiddie pool or tub of water is fine.

-What type of living conditions do they need

Same basic needs as a chicken. Shelter, plenty of space, protection from predators.
and whats theres food needs etc

Flock raiser is what I feed all of my birds. Oyster Shells can be added during the laying season.

oo thanks for you reply, and I meant built up area, as in I have neighbours, we already have chickens so they are used to the noise they make, but obviously don;t want something noisier than chickens x

I've never had chickens but I do know that ducks are very loud. Are you looking for pets or eggs? If you're just looking for pets you could just keep drakes.
