Here are some photos of my African violets. I’ve been buying them (and trying to grow them) since 2021. So so many have bloomed one time and then died. I’ve set a bazillion leaves and gotten a trillion baby plants, but very few of them lived long enough to bloom.

This fall, I noticed that the ones I have left have been blooming again, and one baby that was very small and stagnant for over a year since it’s “birth” suddenly shot up and began blooming!

That’s this one:

I doubt that I have a before photo of it. It was in that same black pot, but just way down in and small.

Here are some random photos.

Anybody else love African Violets? Maybe we can get this thread to take off.

(You guys were some who have posted in other threads when I did a search to see if there was already a thread going. Sadly, the only other 4 African violet threads petered out.)

Oh my goodness! Both my mom and grandma used to have several African violets but I do not recall ever seeing any as beautiful nor so many!

I've tried to raise them over the years and they'd wind up dying on me. I have a plethora of other plants that do just fine. I had even bought African violet food for them. Not sure if I still have that around here but you're inspiring me to get another plant and try again!
