After 3 years...100% production

we started with 6 girls. they were not happy and destroyed each other. Diagnosis was boredom and a bit of overcrowding.

Got 4 new girls, ditched the small space and now they have 1/4 acre to roam and find many bugs.

This is my first week ever of 100% laying. Time to make quiche...

Chickens definitely do much better with lots of room. It's why I risk loss to free range mine.

When they're happy beautiful and productive are a free bonus.
