After a hawk attack, How long for the birds to recover?

Yesterday one of my Guineas was taken by a hawk (9 week old). Then I herded the rest up and put them in their coop. They went up into the nesting box and only come down for food and only a few at a time since yesterday morning.

Are they in shock or mourning? Whichever it makes me sad, will they shake it off?

Probably shock but it could also be mourning as a guinea flock is pretty closely bonded. They will eventually get over it. How long it takes can vary with each bird.
