After all eggs hatch, what temp. do you keep the incubator on for the

new chicks? I have chicks drying out now and no more eggs in that particular incubator to hatch. It's still 100 degrees because the eggs just hatched. Should I turn it down a bit since we are just drying out the chicks now and allowing them to build their strength up? They are going through that stage now when they walk around like zombies, running into each other and the walls of the incubator.

Don't worry about adjusting the temp. They are just fine drying off at that temperature. Once they are all mostly dried, go ahead and move them to the brooder. The heat lamp should already be turned on and the brooder temp. should be 95 degrees.

Thanks. I figured it would be okay since I kept it at that temp waiting for the other eggs to finish hatching. My husband asked me if it might be too hot for them now and this got me started worrying that it just might be.
