After "broodiness" still not laying

My Barred Rock, Jennifer was broody for one week. It was the first time for her. She's 8 months old. Now it has been 5 days since the end of the episode and she still has not layed an egg. She seems fine - eating, drinking, etc. Her comb is still a bit pinkish instead of the bright red prior to her broody days. Is this relatively normal? Thank you so much.

My 2 red sussex came out of broodiness recently (had to break them with cold water and solitary wire cages) - it has been about 10 days and today they both resumed laying. I wasn't expecting it for another week as I heard 2+ weeks is to be expected. Your hen sounds normal. Mine have been needing a lot of extra food, so it might be best to make sure she gets plenty of food. Best of luck with your girls!

Finally!!! Jennifer layed an egg yesterday. Not in her usual spot. But that's okay with me.
