It's been over 3 weeks and our hen is still EXTREMELY broody

How do you know when she is no longer broody?
Good indicators are that she is standing rather than sitting in the cage and her voice becomes more normal and she is less fluffed up.
But my Tassels is good at telling lies!
I do a trial release. If she goes back to her nest then I take her out and put her back in the cage and pack more ice.
Without the ice Tassels always fails her trial release multiple times. So far with the ice she has passed first time.
