After first egg???

After you get your first egg is it common for that hen to go a while and not lay another one? I just got my first egg a couple days ago and was wondering if she was going to start laying regularly now? Also if the other hens the same age see her will they follow?

My 22 week old RIR laid her first egg on Sunday, and has laid one everyday since.
