I have 5 girls and several are/have molted. My BO had a real easy molt but my silkie had a really hard one. My leghorn is now going through a hard molt.

My problem is that since she finished molting (last week) my silkie is getting picked on relentlessly. She is now sleeping in the nestbox, yuck. And periodically I will see the leghorn and the barred rock going after her. They got along fine before it just seems like during/since molting the silkie is it. They are grabbing her by the head and pulling out feathers.

Any ideas what to do? Will it stop after they all molt?

    Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your problem but I sure sympathize with you and your silkie. I'm on my first year of chickens and would like to hear some suggestions for your problem too. I hope things get better.
