My barred rock was waddling ever so slowly (kind of like she was constipated) this morning. So, I encouraged her to walk over to the nesting box with some treats. She didn't want to move, so I went to pet her and picked her up to move her to the box. When I looked down, there it was. A beautiful, glowing, shining 1st egg. What a good girl even though she didn't make it to the nesting box. I can't blame her though, I didn't make it to the hospital when I had my second child, LOL!

The white egg is a store bought egg for comparison, it weighs 60gr. The brown egg from our hen weighs 40gr. Not bad for her first egg.
