Newbie here! I have 8 chicks ranging in age from 8 wks to 1 week. They are all together in the brooder right now and all doing just fine. My question is when it's time to move them to the coop should I do it in groups or all at once? The oldest is a Phoenix so fairly small is it ok for her to stay in brooder a little longer? If I do move them out to coop all together I would still have to have heat lamp on for smallest ones. And I know I have to keep them in coop for a few days anyways so they know where home is which might be a problem if I do it in two groups. Advice please!

Welcome! If they are getting along in the brooder, the coop (hopefully much larger) should be fine. The heat lamp will be necessary, in one corner of the coop, until the smallest is feathered. Make sure the lamp is double or triple secured, etc, because of the danger of fire. Mary
