I'm hoping some experts can inform me about the growth rates of chicks.

I bought some Easter Eggers last month that were 10 weeks old. The woman knew their exact birth date. Now they are 15 1/2 weeks.

At the same time, I got some Barred Rocks that were supposedly 6 weeks, but I don't think that is accurate.

When I got them, the EE were much larger than the Barred Rocks. Now, after 5 1/2 weeks, the Barred Rocks are bigger than the EEs.

Any guesses on the age of the BRs? What age BR would be bigger than an EE? 12 weeks, 14 weeks? guesses?

Thanks!

I am not sure of the ages but my EE's are tiny too. If that makes you feel any better. Maybe they just need another growth spurt. From what I understand chickens grow until 2yrs of age so we have plenty of time

Good Luck!

Can you post pictures. It is easier to tell ages if you can see feather development.
