Age of puppy and chickens

Hi all
What would be the best age to get a puppy dog (not of a specific breed, but a mix) used to chickens? i'd like to introduce him to chickens in young age, so it's more probable that he won't chase hens when he will get older... Is 4 months a good age in your opinion?

Personally I would introduce him to the chickens right away. And make sure you set very strict boundaries. Make it clear, right from the beginning that the chickens are off limits.

I ask because i'm finding only 4 months puppies at the moment, so i don't know if it would be a good age...

Yes, absolutely... the fact is that here in Italy isn't very easy to find very little dogs to adopt

No worries, you're English is actually really good! Right away meaning, as soon as you get the dog.

As trains said, younger is always better. But, 4 months is fine.
