So, I've been wondering... when you talk about your chicks being "2 weeks old" or "6 weeks old", do you go by when you got them, or by the day they were actually hatched? I don't know for sure when mine were hatched but by guessing, I have a pretty good idea... just curious!

Last year when we got ours they were two days old when we got them. We went by hatching date which usually comes on the receipt you get with your bird order if you are ordering from online sources. Or if you are making your own you just go by the day that your babies hatched out.

I ordered mine through a local feed store- so I didn't get a hatch date... but I'm assuming they were a day old when they were shipped, which would mean they were 3 days old when I got them... I just didn't know if there were other people that didn't know hatch dates and how they calculated age.

I go by when they were hatched. I got all my chicks when they were each 4 days old.
