Age they start mounting/mating

At what age can I expect my roos to begin the mounting/mating game? I have what I thoought was 12 hens but it seems I have a few roos. I reckon if they are mounting another chicken it would clearly indiate they are roos.

I've seen some roos start as early as 4 months. I've seen some roos not make the attempt until they were almost a year old.

Depends upon the breed and the roo.

I had a BA, that was supposed to be a pullet, but i had my suspicions about "her" due to "her" size compared to the others and the size of the comb this was confirmed at 11 weeks when i spotted "her" mounting another pullet. I took it back to the breeder who confirmed she was a he..
