Age to be turned loose?

When you find a nest, leave at least one egg in it, otherwise the hens will go find a new nest to lay in, and then you have to find it all over again. I've never had a problem getting the eggs, they will lay an egg midmorning, and leave the nest to free range, they don't sit on it all day till they go broody, they usually won't go broody until they have a big pile of eggs (20 or 30).

I also suggest getting a couple coops for them to roost at night, otherwise predators will take your flock down in no time (owls, hawks, fox, coyote etc). If they are raised in the coop for the first 2 months before you let them out, they will naturally come back there to roost.
Mine were let out at 8 weeks and never fail to come back at dusk, and usually guineas will only range within 1/4 mile or so from their coop.
