Aged Easter Egger

I have an eight year old easter egger who is still laying faded blue eggs! How old do Easter Eggers live?

Chickens can live 10-15 years...some even longer. Average age is 5 but it's not unheard of to have old birds in good health and still pushing an occasional egg.

Xhickens can live for very long and sometimes short lives.

Mine is 6 she laid a jumbo egg a day up through her 5th year, and averaged 5 a week this year.
