Ok. ..so im new to turkeys....just hatched out 5 poults. All healthy.
But they keep pecking at each other. Two of them are really feisty.
I probably shouldnt worry but little concerned they will hurt each other. but is there anything I can do to chill them out a bit? Or is this normal turkey behaviour

I absolutely am not an expert on turkeys... this is only our second time raising them. So I'm just sharing our limited experience: our turkey chicks have not ever pecked at each other to a point where I was concerned. I use a red light/heat lamp which helps to keep pecking down to a minimum with chicken chicks and I've been told will also help with the turkey chicks. What color lamp do you have?

Do they have plenty of room to move around and get away from each other?

I wouldn't worry about it unless they start to draw blood. That can create a big problem quickly as the others will then gang up on the one that is bleeding. You would need to remove any that are bleeding, let them heal up in a safe place and then try to reintroduce them to the flock.

I'm sure some people with far more experience than I will jump in here soon and give you more experienced help.

They are under a brooder. But they have stopped now. Thanks for the advice though

Ne problem now is that three are strong and healthy and the other two are not thriving at all. They are very weak and not gaining weight. I am having to syringe feed them every few hours and they are still in the incubator as too weak for the other boisterous ones.
Hope they pick up soon.

I have one that hatched early this morning and its started pecking everyone in the boorder! It's starting to worry me! I use a red heat lamp and have one that is still a little weak but its coming around and the little booger keeps walking up to him and the other 3 and pecking them right in the eye! All of them run from him (except my weak one) and chirp real loud! Could my boorder be to hot? I wanted to keep my turkeys inside (I keep about 70 chicks in a storage house we have outside its a spare bedroom and plan to move them down when they get a little bigger) but I keep them in a storage tote inside and clip the light on the side of the top of it! What do I do? I'd hate to separate him because that would mean I would hafta put him by hisself!

A few days on and the pecking has stopped. They didnt damage each other...it just looked pretty mean x
