I hatched out some chicks on Saturday and then Sunday. By feather sexing they are three pullets and one cockerel. Today when I went to feed them, one of the "pullets" ran at me and did the chick version of flogging me. It was hilarious. But are baby pullets this aggressive? It ran at me, did it's Ninja flog and then jumped into my hand. Little weirdo!

I had one EE that I almost got rid of as a chick. Pecked everyone in sight, including my hand. Would run towards it and then peck to her heart's content. Glad I didn't get rid of her, she's a very sweet girl now. However, she is the #1 mischief-maker out of the bunch. When everyone is free ranging in the evenings, she will wait until a group is across the yard then hightail it over there, peck someone on the butt, and then take off like a banshee! Then she'll turn around and watch the uproar going on across the yard! She's a funny one!

Sounds just like one of my chicks that hatched out over the weekend. I went to pick it up today and it jumped straight up, stretched its neck, beat at me with its teeny tiny wings and then started pecking at me and dancing back and forth just like a fighting cock. I swear it had murder in its eyes. LOL!
