Hi!
We bought our POL Fenton Blue in April. She started laying eggs about a week after we got her and laid one every other day. She stopped laying a couple of weeks later. After a few more weeks she laid 2 eggs in one week and has now completely stopped. She is supposed to lay blue eggs which she did. My husband thinks she could be possibly laying brown eggs now, is that possible from a chicken that is suppose to lay blue eggs? We have 9 chickens so telling who laid which egg is hard to do.
Also she is very aggressive. She chases us around the garden for corn (I know it's this as they have food and water and she doesn't chase me when I give corn) and pecks my feet which has drawn blood before. She's quite flighty and is not in the slightest bit scared of us and doesn't crouch for us either. It's like she's acting as the rooster should lol
Does anyone know what could be the problem? I've looked at general egg laying problems and she's not old, in good health, has a balanced diet, free ranges. I ticked everything off basically.
Thanks for any help!
P.S I should add, she's the one of the left of my avatar picture and her comb is very floppy and hangs over. My mum used to run a farm and said that is a sign she'll be a bad laying. Is that true also?
