Aggressive Chicks

I don't think my chick was aggressive but he was acting aggressively. I'm confident he was acting like this out of fear since he is nervous. He was hatched here and acted like that straight out of the incubator. Too bad I didn't record this. I haven't ever had any of my ducklings act anything like this.
that is interesting! It does sound like he was/is nervous

I was just wondering about aggression in chicks. I have 5 two week old chicks that hatched from the incubator. They are a mix of Rhode Island Red and Brahma. They're currently in a garden tub we don't use. I've noticed them flying up and hitting each other at times (no blood). Is this just a practice thing or is there need for concern?

Pretty normal. If you start seeing wounds or feather plunking (usually in the rear end and head) then you may want to be concerned. I experience some aggression, but it is usually because they are stressed in some way, and was always broilers. Never anything serious in layers at this age.
