Aggressive Duck (used to like being held)

I’m not really sure, their oil glands work though. Maybe around 6-8 weeks? I’m not sure when exactly it starts working, and when we got them they were really small.
okay! Too young for a drake feather, but old enough to voice sex- does she quack or make a whisper raspy sound?
also, khaki campbell, right?

To young for drake feathers if the age is correct
The oil glands start working very young
I started mine swimming at day 3 and they would use the oil gland when preening
The blue colouring in the wing makes me think Rouen cross
Khaki come from mallard , Rouen and runner so may have a khaki parent crossed with another breed and any of those genes would come into play when cross breeding
Green head is usually a boy thing ( not always )
My khaki drake and his sons that are khaki / Pekin all have the green heads
The sons are really green and the dad is mostly dark brown with green when the lighting hits it

it makes a sound that sounds more like a quack than the other duck. That one sounds kind of raspy. The non-attacking-me-one has a single tail feather curled upwards, and the rest aren’t as straight as the attack duck. I probably got the age Wrong lol It might be a khaki Campbell, but if it is I think it’s the dark variation. Or it’s a Cayuga. i think it’s one of those

The age is probably not accurate, I’m not good at aging ducks :p it sounds more like a quack noise than the other duck, and feathers are straight. The other duck raspy-ish and has a tail single feather curled up, others look un-straight

they get the drake feather at around after 12 weeks I think, usually- so they may just be a couple weeks older than you thought !

If it’s a girl you will know
They are loud
Anyone laying eggs yet ? This will help with age
Between 4.5-5 months they usually start
My ducks were born
Dec 25 ,28 and Jan 10
Khaki x Pekin and all 3 girls have been laying for a week or just over a week
My boys got their drake feather maybe around 3 months I think
Try not to force handling with her right now
Start slow and kneel down to give treats
All my girls even though I held them non stop as babies ( 3 I hatched ) all hate to be picked up
They are gentle with me if I do need to as they never ever try to bite me but I try not to bother them by chasing or picking up
I can walk all around them and they are very relaxed
My boys are much more relaxed ;)
As I can hold them And pet them
One will sit on my lap till I decide I’m done the other two are happy to get down sooner

No eggs yet, but she sometimes when I’m kneeling she’ll start shaking and then launch herself at me

I think she is a bit nervous
Try only kneeling with treats
Make it a good thing each time you try to interact
I sometimes just sit out and watch mine so they see me a lot more
Maybe she is getting close to laying eggs and the hormone change has her on edge a bit ?
