In general, domesticated ducks do go broody much more than wild ducks... but ducklings can't happen if there aren't eggs left for her to sit on...

It's usually only me he does this to. Pretty much when I go outside & he realizes it's me he walks real fast to me or flies & starts "biting" me. I would have never thought about it being so painful but it is. It's like he bites then twists my skin in his beek. I have bruises & blood blisters from this. I have 2 dogs & some cats & he is friends with the dogs & he seems to "groom" them. It doesn't seem to bother the dogs they just lay there so I'm thinking the duck isn't doing the dogs the same way he's doing me.X2 what Miss Lydia said... need to determine gender and also what is the situation when your duck bites? Also, if in juvenile molt, many will get snippy, molting is NOT comfortable...
Can you post some pics of your duck? Usually drakes once they get to breeding age will show signs of breeding to who ever they have a close relationship witch It was this way for my drake since he was raised inside after his mom rejected him. So possibility your seeing drake behavior but there have been a few members who have had females get bity with them too.
How old is your duck does he/she quack real loud or have a raspy voice like he has a cold?
Collect the eggs every day and they won't be able to hatch ducklings, easy to deal with...
Ah, I beg to differ... ducks can and do go broody just as much, if not more than chickens... and putting them in a kennel/crate actually encourages them to sit, lol...
Ok, remember I'm new at the duck thing, what is broody & what would I do with the eggs I collect daily?Collect the eggs every day and they won't be able to hatch ducklings, easy to deal with...
