aggressive male khaki duck

Our male khaki duck has been acting protective over the female duck we have, and has recently become aggressive with us. Now the female is nesting and I'm nervous that once the ducklings come he'll become even more protective... is this true? And after reading a few articles, I read that male khakis can sometimes be mean to the ducklings, should I be worried about this? Thank you!

You'll have to keep the drake away once the ducklings hatch. Mama duck can take care of them. A drake is often aggressive toward ducklings and can easily harm/kill them. It's quite common.
