Well I do suffer from "foot in mouth" disorder.

As bad as it sounds I think you have to fight the duck and show him you are alpha. When my drake was acting up I pinned him to the ground and held him until he calmed down. He stayed away for a while, but I gave him some table scraps as a peace treaty and now he follows me around sometimes.
