Aggressive rooster- but my guineas are stepping in

I bought a cochin pair at a local fair last month. After a few weeks, the roo starting getting aggressive and attacking me and my son. Well, I thought, freezer camp for him, but what a shame, he is just gorgeous. After a few days of this off and on, my 3 5-month-old guineas started running him off! This has happened 5 times in the last week or so. A few times a guinea gave him a big peck on the back while he was attacking. Another time, he was just approaching me and they ran him off. My guineas are shy and don`t let me hold them, who knew they loved me so?
