My 9 month old Speckled Sussex rooster named Malachi (evil leader from Children of the Corn) has become increasingly aggressive toward me and my wife. He used to back down but now he sticks around for the fight. My wife is afraid to be in the yard as he will sneak up when your back is turned. Even when challenged he won't back down. Is there something we can do besides eat him? He's a little rough with the ladies but does a good job of watching out for them. I've grown attached to him despite his nature and hate to kill him.

I have a Rooster that does this same thing. I have 2 spur scars on my leg from him. He just recently attacked my dad too. Big boy is also a good watch roo for my hens but its time that he goes to the grill. He has caused my family alot of stress now. Im very sorry to hear about your bad luck, I hope it gets better and Im sorry Im not much of a help. But I have the same problem too and its been going on for too long now.
