Well I am very excited. I hatched my first eggs ever! I have have two hens and one tom, narragansett variety. They are been quite tame. The two hens went broody at the same time. I left them five eggs. Four eggs hatched. I pulled any eggs laid later, and hatched 4/5 eggs in an incubator. All the eggs hatched with 48 hours of each other. The hens sit on one nest together, but have let me gently push them off to check the babies (once a day). The Tom suddenly got very aggressive and will attack, I mean really attack when I go near the nest. I can tell the hens are making a distress call. I guess the best thing to do is let them be. I am undecided whether I should give the incubator babies to the hens or take the babies away from the hens.
