Aggressive vs Playful

I had 2 female Rouen ducks that I have had since they were 1 day old Abigail and Winifred that I have kept with my 10 chicks. Winifred unfortunately died at 8 weeks old of unknown causes. Abigail and the chicks are now full grown and are 20 weeks old. After Winifred died Abigail wanted nothing to do with me never let me pet her, would always run from me and squawk really loud when I came around. Recently, the past week she has had a sudden interest in me and will let me pet her and is curious in what I'm doing. She also has been nibbling at my hands and arms but it kinda hurts. This morning she really started to nibble a lot and seemed to be kinda aggressive. I'm not sure what behavior this is. Is she trying to play or is she being aggressive?

I love ducks, but not familiar with them. There are a lot of ducks threads, go see if you can find anyone that will be recent, and you can ask there. Just type in duck thread up there in the search bar.

I agree on posting on the "Duck thread." Are you sure she is a female? Maybe she considers you a mate.? Has she laid any eggs yet?
