Aggressivish rooster

I've heard that before and have sprayed him before just to show I was dominate. He's not aggressive towards me but just my dad. I think it's because my dad never sits with them like I do. I forgot to mention that I am the only one who takes care of my chickens because I am trying to start a business or something like that.

I honestly think sometimes the best action is to just be calm and hang out with them, hens or roosters! I'm the treat lady and they all love me haha! I also, like you hang out with them the most and they don't fear or feel threatened by my presence and really it's fear that drives most animals in my experience. Does any body know if certain Breeds are nicer than others just asking. Here is my rooster don't know what breed he is

It's hit or miss with cockerels how they will behave. Mild manners are not accounted for in breeding of hatchery stock and often farm stock. Breeders that breed to SOP and show birds take care in not breeding aggressive behavior forward. I've had two lines of breeder birds after aggressive barn stock. Night and day difference in behavior. You can train a cockerel and peoples own mannerisms can excite them but once you have a mild manner bird you'll never look back. Breeds mannerisms aren't what's at play with aggressiveness, it's where the stock came from that has most to do with it. Lineage that's been bred for tolerance.
