aging chicks?

we found the chicks we wanted at the local ace, but they didn't know the hatch date. their shipment came in on 4/6. i'm assuming they were hatched that day, or the day before. is there a way to tell by looking at feathers? ours have the pin feathers on the wings which are beginning to 'feather out' at the tips.

if i get chicks on a saturday i assume they are almost a week old since most places around here get chicks on mondays or tuesdays and it usually takes 2 days to ship and they are a day old when shipped
