agressive chick

2 chicks in the brooder right now, one in the incubator. the first chick to hatch was in the brooder alone yesterday, i noticed she was antsy inside the incubator so i took her out. now today im trying to integrate one but shes being so mean and trying to peck at her face nonstop, the other chick just wants to snuggle. i dont know what to do i cant set up another brooder i have been nudging her away for the past hour and im about to cry pls help

Sometimes one is like that. I made a small circle of hardware wire I place over the troublemaker. I remove occasionally to see how it's going and to see if it wants to eat and drink. I also find adding shiny glass rocks can give chicks things to peck at. I usually scatter food and put the glass rocks down. It's probably just not knowing where to peck, so they end up pecking at shiny eyes and wiggly toes.
