I bought a few chicks and gave them a heat lamp however, we had a very unfortunate accident with the heat lamp and it fell on top of my little pekin bantam Mochi. She was under it for around 10 seconds and was promptly taken to the emergency vet. Shes around 4 weeks old. I think its a girl (pale comb, no wattle development, curved wings meeting tail). Shes being isolated while being treated for her wounds.
Im worried about Mochi being lonely, especially since she's been with siblings and all of a sudden shes by herself.
Im making an effort to spend time with her but i cant keep her company 24/7 and i have cats who would definitely be interested in eating her so shes limited to one room that im not always in.
Shes been very interested in cuddles and has been climbing onto me and wants to sit near my face and preens and eats and chatters.
She cant go in with the others due to risk of infection (shes on antibiotics) and pecking. Im also keeping her indoors where its nice and warm.
Is there something more i can do so she doesnt get too sad alone?

Can you put her in a large dog cage inside the coop with a waterer and feeder, so the others can see her but not get to her?
And she can see them and not be lonely.

The only problem with this is i need to keep her warm and the others are quite... messy even in their kennel (kicking stuff everywhere) so theyre all outside and shes inside with the heater on

Perhaps you could take her outside for some brief (~10-20 minutes) visits with the other chicks? She could be in a crate so she can see and hear them. You could even put in a hot water bottle if you're worried about her getting chilled. Or maybe you could pick one little friend to be her buddy inside for some supervised visits while she recovers?

You could make her a wool hen and put in the cage with her. She would stay warm, and also be with the others in a “see but no touch” until she recovers.
